Zoning 2.0 Update: A Breakthrough for Atlanta’s Housing Future
After years(!) of public input and recent pro-housing advocacy, we're seeing signs of meaningful progress toward a zoning code that allows the housing options our city needs. The City of Atlanta commissioned an independent review of Zoning 2.0 that reinforces many of the changes we've been advocating for to improve Atlanta's outdated zoning code. We see friends, family, and coworkers being priced out of our area. We see sprawl consume acres of wilderness and increase the number of cars on the road. But we know there is an alternative. We want Atlanta to be an affordable and inclusive community, one in which new residents can thrive and legacy residents have the ability to age in place with dignity.
